HOLOCAUSTO WAR METAL Made In War CD

NEW BUT NOT SEALED

HOLOCAUSTO WAR METAL – Made In War (2022)

Holocausto War Metal emerged from the legacy of Brazil's pioneering extreme metal band Holocausto, one of the notorious names associated with the Belo Horizonte underground scene alongside Sarcófago, Sepultura, Mutilator and Chakal. Featuring original Holocausto guitarist Valério Exterminator alongside bassist/vocalist Rafão The Trigger and drummer/vocalist Manfredo War Tank, the group continues the primitive, uncompromising black/death/thrash tradition established during the 1980s. Released in 2022 through Tanatofobia Productions, Made In War contains 18 tracks, comprising 15 songs produced during 2020–2021 and three newly recorded versions of material from Holocausto's legendary 1987 debut Campo de Extermínio, commemorating its 35th anniversary. Tracks such as "Guerra", "Fat Man and Little Boy", "Cartas do Front", "Operação Tempestade", "Simo Häyhä" and "Supremacia Militar" maintain the band's longstanding preoccupation with warfare, destruction and military history. Musically, the album delivers abrasive guitar riffs, frantic rhythms, harsh vocals and an intentionally raw production aesthetic rooted in the first wave of Brazilian extreme metal. The re-recordings of "Campo de Extermínio", "Regimento da Morte" and "Scoria" further reinforce the connection between the band's historical roots and its contemporary incarnation. Made In War is a substantial collection of primitive Brazilian blackened thrash, particularly appealing to listeners who appreciate the chaotic aggression of early Sarcófago, Vulcano and Holocausto.
