FAR HARAD – Far Harad (2021)

Hailing from Kuantan, Pahang, Malaysia, Far Harad are a sludge and doom metal trio formerly known as Star Order, developing a heavy, abrasive sound that combines stoner metal, psychedelic rock, drone and experimental noise. Featuring MaggotMonster on guitar and vocals, MothMan on bass and Mr. Magnus on drums, the band embraces heavily distorted riffs, thick bass frequencies, raw production and slow, crushing rhythms that create an oppressive, hypnotic atmosphere. Released digitally in November 2021, their self-titled EP features five tracks: "Naracca", "Doombringer", "Heavier Than Death", "Satanistic" and "Witching Hours", running approximately 22 minutes. The recording explores the heavier and more experimental side of Malaysian underground metal, balancing doom-laden passages with psychedelic textures and uncompromising sludge aggression. Its striking artwork by Malicious Man addresses environmental destruction, urban development and the symbolic worship of power, reinforcing the band's dark artistic vision. Mixed by Mashimierul at Soundmakerinc Studio, Far Harad represents an interesting contribution to Malaysia's emerging sludge and stoner doom scene, particularly for listeners drawn to primitive heaviness, distorted atmospheres and unconventional metal.

This is a pre-owned cassette. Unless stated otherwise, the tape has **not been fully play-tested or professionally cleaned**. Visual inspection shows the cassette and tape to be in generally acceptable condition and it appears playable, but due to the age and nature of used cassettes, playback quality cannot be guaranteed.

If the exposed tape strip appears dusty or dirty, it may require manual cleaning before playback. Experienced cassette collectors will generally be familiar with the appropriate cleaning methods and handling precautions for older tapes.
